ecobee3 Smart Thermostat

Most thermostats read the temperature in one place (usually the hallway) which can make other rooms in your home uncomfortable. ecobee3 uses wireless room sensors to deliver the preferred temperature to the rooms that matter. Simple.

While at ecobee, I collaborated with the creative team on diverse digital, product, mass, and retail projects. As a home automation startup, ecobee allowed me to work across various channels simultaneously. I contributed to brand development, brand positioning, brand photography, site development, UI design, in-store mobile experience, retail displays, product packaging, print and social media.

Mobile In-store Experience – Customers visiting ecobee.com in geo targeted areas (retail stores), would be served a splash page offering the option to visit a mobile experience to quickly learn more about ecobee3. A landing page would contain answers to the top anticipatory questions customers have about the ecobee3.

Mobile In-store Experience – Selecting a question from the landing page provides a succinct answer, to help induce in-store purchase. Answer flow for anticipatory question “Why ecobee?”.

Mobile In-store Experience – Answer flow for anticipatory question “What do room sensors do?”.

Mobile In-store Experience – A shopping cart provided customers with the ability to purchase out-of-stock and value pack products while in-store. Answer flow for anticipatory question “How much does it cost?”.
